Here I unveiled and created what I call “surreal abstract painting,” which is a combination of photography, computer art and painting. The pieces were inspired by the flowers in Carl Schurz Park

Show: International Surtex Art and Licensing Show at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City
Mandate: To create 12 market-ready original art lines for textiles, wall coverings, fashion, linens, paper products, stationery, and children’s publishing. This included a mixture CAD design, fine art, watercolor and silk. All series were market- and reproduction-ready for major manufacturing computer and publishing facilities on-site.

Commissioned by YMCA of Greater New York Corporate Head Office
Title: Artistic Director

Mandate: To visually represent 150 years of American History by reinventing archival photographs and rare documents and evolve a pictorial narrative into a contemporary setting. This included extensive historical study starting with the Civil War, suffragettes, reconstruction WWII, Civil Rights Movement to present. In the permanent art collection at the Corporate Head Office, New York City.

Mandate: To create a poster and visual identity for the 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Mandate: To create an official concert poster for the Concert for Burma, a benefit event with Rhino records, in combination with Jack Healy (head of Amnesty International) and San Suu Kyi (Nobelist for Peace, and under arrest since 1995).

Show: A photographic and video graphic retelling of Evolution F, an Off Broadway musical.

Title: Artistic Director for Computer Generated Backdrop

Theme: A surreal musical about the evolution of the Amazon Woman, to benefit battered women. Mandate: To create a fully computer-animated backdrop incorporating original music and thematic imagery to accompany the performance.
